There's what is happening in Ebonyi State now and the man doing it is thinking that it's easy that way. Gov. David Umahi used over N25 billion of Ebonyi people's money and told us that he's constructing the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the Ebonyi State University in Uburu. Everybody kept quiet watching him. After constructing the school now, he has done the following:
1. Appointed a new Vice Chancellor for it in the person of Professor Jesse Uneke.
2. By implication, it's to mean that one university is having two vice chancellors going by the earlier plan that it's an extension of EBSU.
3. He has renamed the faculty to David Umahi University of Medical Sciences, not naming it David Umahi School of Medical Sciences, Ebonyi State University.
4. He has singlehandedly designed tuitions of N5million down to N3million only for a session for a student in the school. This is to mean that the school is not meant for Ebonyi people even as it's built with Ebonyi people's money.
5. He has been moving up and down in Abuja all himself to get approval of courses from the National Universities Commission for the now university of his. An institution that is yet to open for admission has been accredited 27 medical courses for by the NUC. This is against the operational norms of the commission, a material proof that corruption has crept into the NUC.
6. The same Gov. Umahi who seized acres of land belonging to private individuals in Uburu on the deceit that it's the Government of Ebonyi State that was acquiring them has now said that the school will be privatized before he leaves office in 2023.
Gov. Umahi is joking with his happiness and health after 2023. He thinks that it's the set of putrefactive stakeholders that he has around him now that will be the stakeholders to emerge after 2023? He's joking with his post office happiness and wellbeing.
Whether it's APC or PDP later, Gov. Umahi will vomit everything that he has illegally swallowed belonging to Ebonyi people including this EBSU faculty he has personalized with our money. Any Uburu man who comes in his defense that time will be part of his sadness no matter how highly placed that person could seem.
Let's keep fingers crossed. We are taking over from the decaying political stakeholders in Ebonyi currently on seat after 2023 and it'll be a total overhaul. Everybody should be calm. We'll tell Umahi that we ourselves have mind more than those around him now. Nobody should bother self about how this can happen. Whether or not it's PDP that takes over, our state belongs to her people, not to any given political party. Let's pray for life first. Umahi must sure cry like a kid after office. He thinks he is smart. No problem.
