  JAMB enables CAPS portal for 2020/2021 admission exercise Posted by Emeka 6th January, 2021   |    7  Comments JAMB News The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has disclosed that it has enabled its portal for institutions to upload names of shortlisted applicants for the 2020/2021 admission. The board emphasized that all admission processes must go through the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) for approval. This was made known by the Registrar of JAMB, Prof Is-haq Oloyede during an interview with newsmen in Abuja. According to him, only qualified candidates as recommended by their institutions for admission will be approved by the board. He noted that most institutions, particularly private had commenced admission. The registrar, however, added that public universities were yet to fully kick-start the process partly because they are yet to conclude admissions for last year. Poverty at an alarming rate in Ebonyi State

The truth is that the poverty in Ebonyi State in greater measure is caused by government. It's not absolutely that of Umahi. It predates ages past. Nature blessed Ebonyi soil with varieties of solid mineral deposits and oil. Every community in Ebonyi has one or two mineral deposits. This includes quarry. Our rivers have varieties of sand that can rarely be found elsewhere. But what has government done to ensure gradual and simultaneous exploration of these mineral deposits to reduce unemployment and poverty? Nothing! This is from 1999 till date. Nigercem in Nkalagu alone has what it takes to lift half of Ebonyi State from the cesspool of penury if put into use. Can anyone tell me why that company has remained operationally motionless? It's the failure of leadership and lack of political willpower to do things right. I will continue to say it that there's no germane basis for our soaring poverty indices.
